Rental Guidelines & Policies
Rental Agreements
Anyone looking to rent gear from Grand Rapids Camera must present a valid driver’s license and a major credit card at the time of the transaction. Debit cards are not accepted. For those opting to use a cash deposit, payment for the rental period must be settled in advance. Please be aware that we maintain a strict policy regarding payment types: debit cards and checks are never accepted for security deposits, without exception.
A deposit covering the full replacement value of the equipment is mandatory for every rental. If you are using a credit card, a temporary authorization charge for the total value of the gear will be placed on your account for the duration of the rental and released once the equipment is returned. By entering into a rental agreement, you consent to Grand Rapids Camera charging your credit card for the full deposit amount in the event that equipment is returned damaged or is not returned at all.
Reservations and Pickup
Reserved equipment is available for pickup on your scheduled date during our standard business hours. Our daily rates operate on a strict 24-hour cycle. For instance, gear collected at 10:00 AM must be returned by 10:00 AM the next day to avoid being billed for an additional day.
We also offer a specific Weekend Rental package at a two-day rate. This allows for pickup on Saturday starting at 10:00 AM with a return deadline of 48 hours after pickup.
Shipping and Delivery
We do not ship or deliver rental equipment. Our rental services are exclusively available for pickup through our physical retail storefront.
