Are you still connected to Norman Camera in Kalamazoo?
No. Grand Rapids Camera is a fully independent, locally owned store. Daniel, who spent nearly 20 years as an employee, purchased the Grand Rapids store and operates it completely separately. Norman Camera in Kalamazoo is a separate business with no affiliation to us.
Did Norman Camera rebrand to Grand Rapids Camera?
This was a purchase, not a rebrand. Daniel bought the Grand Rapids store and is launching it as his own independently owned business under a new name. Grand Rapids Camera is its own store.
How long has this store been here?
This location has been serving the Grand Rapids and West Michigan photography community for over 20 years. The ownership has changed, but the commitment to this community hasn't.
Do you still carry the same brands and gear?
Yes! Our inventory and the brands we carry haven't changed. We still stock the cameras, lenses, and accessories you've come to expect, and our team is still here to help you find exactly what you need.
Do you do repairs and sensor cleaning?
Yes, we offer sensor cleaning and general camera maintenance. Give us a call or stop in and we'll take a look at what your gear needs.
Do you buy or trade used gear?
Yes, we accept trade-ins and buy used gear. Bring it in and one of our staff will give you an assessment.
Do you offer printing services?
Yes, we offer print services! Come in or call us to talk about sizes, paper types, and options.
Can I rent gear from you?
Yes, we offer rentals on a wide range of camera bodies, lenses and additional gear. Check out our rental page or give us a call to check current rental availability.
Do you develop film?
Yes, we do! We partner with an expert lab to process your film with the highest quality care. We ship rolls in bulk, so we never pass shipping fees on to you.

Our turnaround time is approximately two weeks. We accept 35mm, 110/120/220, APS, and Single-Use Cameras, including C-41 (Color and B&W) and E-6 formats. Just bring your film to our counter during business hours to get started!
